Chronic health conditions, common in older age, can often be related to lifestyle risk factors, such as lack of physical activity and poor nutrition. The good news is that lifestyle risk factors can be reduced: all it takes is commitment and learning new strategies to replace old habits.

Being familiar with how your body works, what is considered normal and abnormal, will better help you dentify early any potential health challenges and allow you to take action.

It is important to establish a relationship with a health practitioner for regular check-ups.

Prevention is better than a cure.
